MEMBERSHIP 2012

The TBA helps create confidence in the breeding industry – ensuring that it is well run, well administered, and has fair legislation in order to create the conditions for you to be able to run a successful and profitable breeding business. The TBA also helps you in a variety of practical ways to run your business and to save you money.

Representing your interests

The TBA actively lobbies in defence of breeder interests across the industry. The TBA undertakes:

• Lobbying of both the UK Government and, through EFTBA, the EU.

• Working with the All Party Racing Group, together with interested MPs and Peers

• Briefing civil servants at both DEFRA and DCMS (Culture, Media & Sport)

• Breeder representation on the British Horseracing Authority and its various Committees

• Breeder representation on the Horseman’s Group

• Sales - Represents breeder issues to the Sales companies

• Weatherbys – Represents breeder issues, especially around all matters to do with the stud book
